Balsamic Vinegar Of Modena

The Ponti family has been making vinegar in Italy for nine generations, since 1787.

Ponti produces several varieties of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI (Protected Geographical Indication),

Rich with history. Ponti the 9th-generation Italian family company sources its ingredients and follows traditional and production methods in the Modena region of Italy.

Ponti produces balsamic vinegars of different densities. Its “HD” (High Density) version offers a thicker, more syrupy texture, while others are thinner and more acidic.

A condiment resulting from the slow aging of concentrated and cooked grape musts  ( the essential ingredient for the production) with wine vinegar.
An ancient recipe that has found the most suitable grape varieties, the most deep-rooted knowledge and taste for good food in the region of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

The vinegar is made from a blend of wine vinegar and cooked grape must, which comes from seven specified grape varieties.

Ponti’s balsamic vinegar is matured in wooden barrels, such as oak, cherry, and chestnut, to develop a complex bouquet and flavour.

Perfect for adding flavour to raw and cooked red meats, fresh and mature cheeses, vegetables and even strawberries, a versatile condiment suitable for:

Dressing: Use on salads, vinaigrettes, and marinades.

Meat and fish: Add to grilled meats and fish.
