Sapori Panforte Margherita
A classic Sienese Christmas cake representing the delicate white style of Tuscany’s most famous festive sweet.
First created in 1879 by pharmacist Galgano Parenti to honour Queen Margherita of Savoy during her visit to Siena,
This dense, chewy, and rich confection features high-quality whole sweet almonds, candied orange peel, melon, and citron, combined with honey and a lighter blend of aromatic spices, with a generous sprinkle of icing sugar covers the top creating a snow like scene with the fruit filled centre.
It is exceptionally rich, traditionally sliced into very thin wedges and served alongside espresso, tea, or a glass of dessert wine like Vin Santo.
Packaged in its signature red presentation box, making it an excellent host gift or festive hamper addition.
